About Mark Dunkerley
Having enjoyed a 30-year career in the executive ranks of several global airlines, Mark Dunkerley today serves as a member of the board of directors of Spirit Airlines in the United States and of Volotea Airlines in Europe. He also is the vice chairman of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Until 2018, Dunkerley was the president and chief executive officer of both Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. and its parent company, Hawaiian Holdings, Inc., as well as a member of the board of directors of both. During Dunkerley’s 15-year tenure leading the company, Hawaiian Airlines become the industry’s foremost airline for operational performance, delivered the highest levels of customer service, and was among the most financially successful carriers globally.
