Dear Friends,
I am delighted to share some fabulous news – the Georgetown University Women’s Leadership Initiative
(GUWLI) is now an institute!
Over the past year, we have deepened our corporate relationships as well as our outreach through
traditional and social media. Our mission remains to develop gender-intelligent leaders by
generating scientific insight to empower real-world impact. In the coming year, the institute will
convene faculty researchers, company executives, policymakers, and students to continue developing
evidence-based, data-driven knowledge to inform programs and policies for corporations and C-suite
executives as well as prescriptions for women and men just starting their careers.
Please help us celebrate the institute by joining us for a VIP reception on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6 to
7:30 p.m. in the Rafik B. Hariri Building. The reception will precede the institute’s Annual Conference for
Women in Business on Friday, Nov. 6. Details and a formal invitation are forthcoming. Please mark your
calendars for our VIP launch event.
Best Regards,
Catherine H. Tinsley
