MBA Students Sponsor Desks for School Children in Africa


As co-founder of the nonprofit Achieve in Africa, Brendan Callahan works to improve education in rural areas of Africa most in need. As a member of the MBA Evening Program Global Experience, he recently traveled to Tanzania, where his classmates and their faculty advisors have raised funds to sponsor the construction of 91 new desks for school children there.

Georgetown Marketing Professor Wins Award for Best Publication in Decision Analysis


In recognition of his research on why people are unable to clearly identify decision objectives, the Informs Decision Analysis Society honored Kurt A. Carlson, associate professor of marketing at Georgetown McDonough and research director of the Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research, and his co-authors with the 2012 Decision Analysis Publication Award.

Health Care Reform Discussion:
Sept. 10


On September 10, business leaders, policymakers, and other interested parties can learn about the role that Massachusetts business played in the development and implementation of health care reform, the results experienced to date, and the challenges they face. The program, which will be held at the Rafik B. Hariri Buidling, will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss which aspects of the Massachusetts business experience can be drawn on elsewhere in the country.
