New Initiative to Expand Global Offerings and Partnerships

A new Global Business Initiative at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business will centralize the leadership and support for increasing the quality and depth of the school's international offerings. The initiative will ensure that the global mission of Georgetown McDonough is evident throughout all aspects of the student experience – from the undergraduate to MBA to executive education programs.

Living Social CEO Advises Students to Find a Purpose and Execute Well

When Tim O'Shaughnessy donned a cap and gown at his graduation from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business eight years ago, he was torn between job offers to become a consultant or a bartender at a resort. As he struggled to figure out his post-college path, he realized that he needed to take a step back and develop a scorecard for life. The CEO of Living Social told 344 of his soon-to-be fellow alumni during Saturday's undergraduate business commencement that he realized that his purpose would be to create jobs.

Graduate Business Students Poised to Lead in a Future that is Borderless and Meaningful

To Barry Salzberg, today's graduates are more than newly credentialed master's students. They are the emissaries of the future. The Global CEO of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited predicted the future's challenges as the speaker for the Georgetown McDonough School of Business Master's of Business Administration, Executive Master's of Business Administration, and Executive Master's in Leadership commencement Friday, May 18, 2012.

Seniors Honored at Georgetown McDonough Tropaia Ceremony

During the Tropaia Exercises for Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, Dean David A. Thomas challenged the graduating seniors to seek out and tackle issues facing business and society.

McDonough Named a Top Global MBA Program by América Economía

The Latin American business magazine América Economía ranked Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business 19th on its annual listing of the best global MBA programs, up from 25th last year. The school also is 8th among U.S. programs.

Register Now for Reunion 2012, June 1 - 2

Events scheduled for Friday, June 1, include the all-class Gala Open House for all business alumni, family members, and guests. Afterward, MBA, EMBA, and EML alumni from 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007, and undergraduate alumni from 2002 and 2007 may attend their private Milestone Class Party. Also on Friday, the MBA Career Center will have open office hours, and there will be tours of the Rafik B. Hariri Building, home of the McDonough School of Business. On June 2, activities include building tours, our family-friendly "Picnic on the Plaza with Professors," a faculty panel presentation, and the 2012 Alumni Reunion signature event: the Milestone Gala Celebration featuring the Dean's Reception, dinner, desserts, and dancing!
