Georgetown Movember Team Surpasses Goal and Looks to Regain #1 Position


With November winding to a close, the mustache-clad MBA Movember team at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business is still dedicated to raising awareness and funding for men's health. The group has more than doubled its original goal of $10,000 – collecting over $20,600 and placing it at the heels of the first-place team from London Business School (LBS) in the MBA Challenge.

Georgetown MBAs Place 4th in CNBC Investment Challenge


A team of MBA students from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business placed fourth overall in the CNBC "Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge MBA Face-Off." Additionally, team member and MBA Evening Program student Angel Irazola earned individual honors for his portfolio.

MBAs Finding Jobs, Internships According to Latest Data

The MBA Career Center at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business reports that recent graduates have had more success finding jobs this year, and current students are landing the internships they are seeking. "We are thrilled to see so many of our students and graduates finding success in their career searches this year," said Doreen Amorosa, associate dean and managing director of the MBA Career Center. MBA Students Trek Around the Globe Exploring Career Options


MBA students at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business recently spent a week-long break between classes traveling domestically and internationally to network and learn about specific industries through Career Treks. Whether learning about energy or consulting in Washington, finance on Wall Street, marketing along the East Coast, or opportunities in Dubai, Hong Kong, or Madrid, students had the opportunity to interact with business leaders and network with Georgetown alumni within each community.
