Georgetown Net Impact Chapter Leaders Receive National Award

The co-presidents of the Net Impact chapter at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business recently were awarded the Net Impact Leadership Award for their dedication to the organization. MBA students Elly Drygas and Kate Reid were two of only 11 students recognized from the more than 280 nationwide chapters nationwide. They each received a one-year paid Net Impact membership as a prize. [READ MORE]

MBA Admissions to Host Focus on Diversity, Dec. 3


Prospective Georgetown MBA students are invited to campus on Saturday, December 3, for Focus on Diversity, where women and members of the international, LGBT, military, and minority communities have the opportunity to explore how earning an MBA at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business provides a transformational educational experience. Georgetown MBAs Leading in Movember Fundraising for Men's Cancers


November has been declared "Movember" at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business with more than 60 students, faculty, and staff participating in the international cause to raise money for men's health. Currently, the team organized by Georgetown MBA students is leading its other business school peers in donations, with more than $7,700 raised toward their $10,000 goal. They also are now 57th among all teams – including corporate teams – for funds raised.

Prem Jain and Bardia Kamrad voted 'Professors of the Mod' by MBA Students


Last month, the winners of the first quarter "Professors of the Mod" awards for the 2011 school year were announced by students in the Full-time MBA Program. For Module 1, McDonough Professor of Accounting and Finance Prem Jain took honors for core courses amid an impressive field that included professors Brooks Holtom and Jose-Luis Guerrero. Professor Bardia Kamrad was recognized in the category of elective courses, edging out esteemed professors Cathy Tinsley, Sezer Ulku, and Arthur Dong.
