Professor Schloetzer's Research on CEO Dismissal Rate Published in Conference Board Report



The rate of dismissal of CEOs in the S&P 500 due to disciplinary actions has increased in recent years, while 25 percent of boards of directors facing a chief executive succession have opted for an outside hire, according to a new report by The Conference Board co-authored by Assistant Professor Jason Schloetzer.  [READ MORE]

Houston Memorial Professorship Established

George R. Houston, former professor of accounting, is being remembered by his students and faculty colleagues with the creation of the George Houston Memorial Professorship. Already pledged to more than $1.5 million, the endowment aims to support the appointment of a senior faculty member, with a total goal of $3 million.
