EMBA and GEMBA Rank High in Financial Times

This year, the Financial Times Executive MBA rankings include two programs from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. In its debut on the list, the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA program ranked 19th in the world. Georgetown McDonough’s Executive MBA program is 7th among U.S. stand-alone programs and 35th in the world. The Executive MBA also fared well among other U.S. schools in several categories, including being 1st for alumni salary increase, 7th for alumni aims achieved, 9th for alumni salary, and 11th for alumni career progress. Jason Scholetzer Named to "People to Watch" List U2's Bono and Bank of America's CEO to Speak on Social Enterprise Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative Earns Leadership Award

The National Association of Corporate Directors named Jason Schloetzer, assistant professor in accounting at Georgetown McDonough, to its “People to Watch” list for his academic research and research-related work investigating CEO transitions, succession planning, and gender diversity in the boardroom.

Musician and activist Bono will deliver a keynote address at Georgetown University on social enterprise and the power of social movements to create change on Monday, November 12, at the university's Gaston Hall. The Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business recently received the 2012 Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Award from the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC), recognizing the program’s impact on the field of entrepreneurship education.

Symposium on the Ethics of Bailouts and Government Support of Corporations, Nov. 30 Georgetown McDonough Produces Season 1, Episode 1 of First Webshow, Angles Global Embassy Series Kicks Off with Mexican Ambassador, Nov. 19
On Friday, November 30, the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics at the McDonough School of Business will hold its inaugural fall symposium on “The Ethics of Bailouts and Government Support of Corporations: Public Benefit or Crony Capitalism?”
Georgetown McDonough has produced its first episode of the new webshow titled Angles. Season 1, Episode 1 features Professors Jason Brennan and Kurt Carlson discussing voting in America. On Monday, Nov. 19, Georgetown McDonough will present its first Global Embassy Series featuring His Excellency Arturo Sarukhan, ambassador of Mexico to the United States. The Global Embassy Series will host ambassadors and other high-ranking members of the diplomatic community to discuss business-related issues. The series is co-sponsored by the Undergraduate Program Office and the McDonough Global Student Association.

Movember at Georgetown McDonough

magic picture'We love November: the chill in the air, the calm after mid-terms and finals, and.....the mustaches. Our students, faculty, and staff have joined the efforts to raise awareness and funding for men’s cancer initiatives by growing mustaches this month. Currently, we have more than 75 team members including Dean Thomas! The students have raised more than $3,500 and are on their way toward eclipsing last year's total of $27,000.[JOIN THE TEAM]
