New Certificate Program for MBA Students in Nonmarket Strategy Launched
Georgetown McDonough MBA students now can pursue a certificate program in nonmarket strategy, thanks to the leadership of the Center for Business and Public Policy (CBPP) and the MBA Program Office. The certificate program allows students the opportunity to explore the intersection of business, economics, and public policy, and capitalizes on the rich resources afforded by Georgetown’s location in Washington, D.C. The certificate program welcomed its first cohort of 43 MBA students this semester.

“We are thrilled to launch the certificate program,” said John Mayo, professor of economics, business, and public policy, and executive director of Georgetown’s CBPP. “For more than a decade, the Center for Business and Public Policy has provided a proof of concept of Georgetown’s comparative advantage in this space and the real value of proximity and intellectual exposure to high-level issues that affect businesses in a world in which policy making and social pressure can substantially shape their success.”
